Unhappy Failing your DOT physical

Last May I failed my DOT physical. Texas downgraded me to a class C. They said I can get it back with a current medical card without having to take any test.
Has anyone else had this problem and/or exprience dealing with this? This seems like a garbage tactic to me,but what do I know?
Thanks

I never really failed the physical but did get a downgraded med card that my employer wouldn't recognize. Luckily I got that problem solved and a new med card letter sent off to my state DMV before my license got downgraded too. I would imagine that the state has a time limit for "not taking the test" and that clocks ticking! Can you pass the physical now? I'd be working on that and pay for it out of pocket real quick to get my CDL back. good luck.

I had an issue in VA, got my medical card updated for another 2 years........facility didn't inform me that they don't send the papers in and it's up to me. The normal place I went to DID send it in for me but this place didn't.....called up DMV and they had me fax everything to them. Called back 24 hours later to check the status, they updated it over the phone and I was good again. Just a slight headache, didn't cost me anything extra.

I hope your right, if you haven't passed the BP part yet make sure you,
Drink lots of water the day of AND the day before the physical
Take a baby aspirin or other light dose (it's kinda like a blood thinner)
Dump the sodium! Stay away from all those boxed/canned microwave type meals
If they check your BP with a machine and it register high ask to have it taken manually and make sure your sleeve is rolled up IT DOES MATTER! I don't care what they say!
BEST A LUCK TO YA!
