Default Help! Volvo with I-Shift (automatic) stuck in manual mode and won't start!

I need help! I accidentally put my T670 with the I-Shift (automatic) into manual mode then shut the truck off. It won't let me put it back in neutral in order to start the truck. Can anyone help?

Don't know specifically but I'd see if the owner's manual covers it.

Good luck,

Jim

If the truck was shut off in gear with pressure against the gear, it probably won't roll into neutral unless something 'bumps' the truck to release the pressure. I had that happen in a Volvo autoshift (Eaton). That's when I REALLY began to hate the fully automatic transmissions. Gimme a clutch pedal.

It is in the owners manual. I can't remember exactly but you tap the brake and hit the neautral button in a certain sequence. When all else fails take a battery cable off and it will reset.

As per my suggestion talk to their customer care no. They will certainly tell you the solution. I strongly recommend not to do any experiment. This may get you deep into the trouble.
