Default Need tri-axle help!

Hi everyone;

I just got offered a job driving tri-axle dump trucks. The job includes a lot of 'dig out' work. ie: a mechanical shovel digs out foundations and you cart the dirt away.

Does anyone have any advice on how I would avoid getting stuck in the dirt with a tri-axle?

Thanks for any and all help...

Drove tri/axels for years. Even owned one. When your backing up and your off the road look in your mirrors at your tandems. If they start to sink in soft mud etc. stop. Must dump trucks unlike OTR trucks are step up for off road. They have full locking rears etc. but it is still easy to get stuck. Soft mud is the worst. It really beats the driveline up on a truck. If you are in soft ground try not to stop. Cuz starting off with be a PITA. It all will come in time.
