A better understanding of my situation!!!!
i recently attended roadmaster driving school in jacksonville, fl. i was two weeks into my training when i was pulled over for marijuana. it wasnt mine but i was the driver of the car. i recieved a ticket to appear in court. i went, i plead no contest not knowing that roadmaster would stop my training because pleading no contest would lessin the chances of them finding me a job. and because the charge is so recent. i have my class a permit and dot physical. they gave me my 1,500 down payment back. i could continue with them if i find my own pre-hire or come up with the rest of the tuition. what places could i try to pre-hire me? or can anybody lead me in the right direction with my background? im 25, i had a rough start and need some guidance to better my future. truck driving is what i wanna do as a career. plz help!!

Look into excavating and paving company's. The smaller mom and pop outfits. The last 2 excavating company's i drove for (lowboy/dump truck) Didn't even drug test me or anything. They dont have a clue about DOT rules and guidelines. They are too busy making money doing the dirt work they dont care about the trucks or DOT.

With that record and everything being so recent. I am 99.9% sure most OTR companys will not even look at you. BTW if it was your friends pot in your car or whatever i would be getting ready to beat azz.

You should have fought it first of all secondly with that record you have no business in big truck! No contest is still a conviction basically and you are untouchable by most companies probably 95% or better of them. You need to grow up before driving a big truck!!!
I may be blunt, but those are feelings on the topic!

You're joking, right? This an early April Fools joke? 2 convictions of possession, a resisting, having your license suspended, running a red light and speeding over 65mph?
Where's Alan Funt and the hidden cameras?
If I were you, I'd flat-out give up the idea of driving a truck for a minimum of 10 more years MINIMUM, and that's only if you learn to get your sh^t straightened out and stop acting like a 16yr old spoiled brat.

I am very sorry that the school did not tell you that even without the latest charge of Possession in 2011, you are still a very bad risk. Possession of marijuana in 2004 alone is enough to keep you out of the majority of companies anymore. More and more of them are going over to "NO DUI, NO DRUGS, NO FELONIES, EVER", which means you don't have a chance with the majority of them as of 2004. Much less the most recent of them. Even the ones that would hire you with that will look at the "resisting an officer" and go no further. My guess is that you had no thoughts of driving a commercial vehicle back when you were building this record up. You might try heavy equipment operator, but they may also have requirements. However, most bulldozers do not travel as fast as a truck, and they don't weigh as much. Might just have a chance there. Depends on how deep insurance companies have gotten into that field.
