Talked to a KAG driver last night who said the pro union drivers are being starved out. The union can not regulate the work dispatched. There are 25 trucks parked in the Colton yard from the loss of the ARCO/BP business in the L.A. Basin

To those of you working for the Teamsters and been there a while making the good money and great benefits my hat is off to you. Wish I had been in that position 30 years ago. I spent 20 plus years in the grocery retail clerks union and all it was good for was keeping deadbeats in thier jobs. Have had and using my CDL for 7.5 years now and it is working for me.

TAXES- So what do you do?? Do you limit your earning potential to keep from paying more taxes?? I get that it all comes down to what is it worth to an individual. My wife and I will pay 42-43k in federal and state taxes this year and over the last 30 years close to half a million dollars not counting ssn and medicare taxes. The stats say that 140-145 million people in the U.S.A. will have a zero federal tax liability this year. This is a very sore subject for me!!! STEAL FROM THE MOTIVATED AND GIVE TO THE UNMOTIVATED!!!

Anyway, thanks to all who responded. It is interesting to hear the different view points when it comes to union issues.

The bottom line is I hope the drivers I have become friends with can stick it out untill this union mess is resolved.

Peace Out,
Fuelman

Don't know about you but I prefer making the $1650/wk rather than being able to say "I'M A TEAMSTER"

Peace Out,
Fuelman
I could live off of $900/week even at 40 hours a week.
I would gladly take the cut in pay if they would give me a 4 day work week.
But I wouldn't vote for a union to make that happen.
