Before the Rev Lock this bad boy up.. I would like to suggest that the Kev Should be given a Lifetime Ban.. Based on stats every thread that gets locked up is due to Kev's ignorant, ungreatful, disrespectful, unhelpful posts that get replied by drivers on this board that actually has some to offer and that are smart.. Hell i would take CFM/LBJ Coolie Bashing and Big D's Swift, Children, and Owner Operators with no business plans posts and thoughts any day!!

 

I tend to disagree, Hawk. The only way we as a people and a nation have and will grow is by example... both good and bad.

It is no coincidence that religions refer to Jesus as the Light of the World. It is only by shining the light on evil that we know it lurks in the darkness of men's souls.

And all know that a man who stumbles through the darkness eventually trips over his own possessions.

Evil is insidious. It creeps into mankind with only a passing "notice" until it has a spotlight shown on it. It could become "accepted" as the NORM if it weren't occaisionally brought to the attention of more reasoned minds.

My post, and thoughts, are NOT about Jesus and religion. My point was about evil and prejudices.... and how they could grow UNCONTESTED if not realized.... and SELF proclaimed.

My point was that Kevin reminds us all of what we DON'T want to be! Without HIM, we might become complacent and succumb to the prejudices that are all around us in our environment.... and NEVER see it coming.

A hateful heart cannot contain its views. It MUST espouse them because it needs validation to assuage its guilt, and fuel for its fire. In its efforts, it will stumble over itself and self-identify.

I am encouraged and impressed by the reactions/posts of other truckers here who not only don't SHARE his views.... but, will speak out against them.

But, by HEARING his prejudiced views against blacks, truckers, and others...we are reminded that evil stll lurks in man's soul. And we GROW in our own convictions against intolerance.... when we speak out against it.

For THAT we must "memorialize" our dear friend Kevin. He has sacrificed HIS life to make us better men/women.
