Any F550 will have commercial plates on them right? That is what mine have.

Anyone know what IRP costs annually?

All pick up trucks in NY have commercial plates even my old 1/2 ton two wheel! The only exception is if you can get them to list it as a passenger vehicle (they call that a suburban)and get pass. plates but then you legally can't haul anything That's New York for ya

Try registering it for 30k on weight. My father pulled with a dually and got busted in TN for the same thing.Got loaded with about 2k in tickets, for weight, log book ,etc.

In Az i have a company, that's a third party for DMV and they know and take care of registration issues.Very knowledgeable and don't give you the run around like DMV does.I don't know in NY but look for a thrid party authorized registration company to take care of your stuff.BOL
