Now, that's something I have never tried. I've had "BEAR WHIZ" (Colorado), and "MOOSE DROOL" (Montana), but have never been able to get that close to any rocky mountain goats to try that.:rofl::rofl:

Well, Stan, the article was NOT correct, and you should KNOW that. The weight they listed was the normal weight for a loaded reefer unit (or any normal truck/trailer) of just under gross of 80,000 lbs.

Beer haulers don't "Play" around with 10k lb loads like toilet paper and such! We leave such "light loads" to Swifties..... so they can pass us when going up a hill! :lol2:

Not hardly, Bel. Couldn't really see much from those "amateur" pics! But, I saw a GOOD one of a fireball on I-5 south of Portland the other day, where a tanker yanker slid off the road and exploded. No rescue attempt feasible.

Did that make YOUR mouth water? Or did it make you pucker up? :hellno:

There's NO excuse for taking a ramp too fast! Never.... Ever!

Yeah, I was reading about that one earlier. Sad story. Check out this link:

Thanks for the link, Bel.... and I apologize if I sounded insenstive. It's a horrible human tragedy at this time of year (or any) among our family of truckers! We have an "off/on ramp" down here in Charlotte that is a "widow maker," and drivers JUST can't seem to understand the warning signs!

I know I'm confusing two different stories (at least.) We had a rollover down here the same day... but, the driver walked away. That area up there has been hit by alot of bad weather. SOME up there would like to say that it is ONLY the driver's fault, and that conditions are not that bad, but they ARE! I feel for anyone RISKING their lives in that area right now to support their families!

Times are hard right now, and people are turning to truck driving without the actual training, experience, or KNOWLEGE necessary to be safe drivers. I wish it weren't so, but it is.

People, please believe me. Trucking ain't for Wusses! It is a dangerous occupation and not everyone can DO it, and many won't SURVIVE it. Think long and hard before you take that leap!

Be careful out there, Bel! You, and others, that carry that liquid hell are REAL drivers! And you are in my thoughts at all times!
