Well it is official. It wasnt until this post till TinyGasoline proved to myself and the rest of the trucking community on here that he is eithe full of shit, not even a truck driver, thinks he is better than everyone else, or a combination of all 3.
"..usually get a motel at the end of the day..."...why? because when (uh-em....IF) you do a PTI you'd find your truck isnt safe to sleep in, or because the one-legged lot lizzards you're left with cant climb up into your truck?? Or you dont do the casino anymore, because they kicked you out because you cannot come up with the $121 you owe them for the past 10 years. So, by your own account, you fork out $40-50 for a hotel room, and $20 for a nice hot meal 5-6x a week. That is worse than a truck stop junkie. Sure hope you aren't an o/o cause you dont make a dime. but hey, if thats what you enjoy....be my guest. Say, can you have your name changed on here? Need to call this guy Super-Diesel So why don't you educate Mr. Diesel on where he should be taking his rest periods and all the fine dining establishments you know of where he can eat? I mean really, when that casino opened, I stopped in to see what the food was like...looked at the buffet....walked right back to the truck and drove on down to Dunnigan, where there used to be a decent diner. Don't understand why Big D even ate there. I stay in motels whenever I am stuck somewhere for more than a day. I just spent the weekend at a Drury Inn up in the Saint Louis area. BestWestern, LaQuinta and Holiday Inn in get a lot of my business. When I lay over at Portland, I park at Jubitz and stay in the Portlander. I'm not a huge fan of the buffetz either. On I-5 I like the restaurant at 7-Feathers, the restaurant at Jubitz, the restaurant at GeeCee's, the Black Bear Diner, and a couple others. Before you get to lippy....I have a TempurPedic mattress in my sleeper. Very comfy. I just prefer having a bathroom and shower when I have to stay in one spot for more than a day. See...It's about the quality of life. I know a guy who had a soft spot in his heart, for a "One Legged Lot Lizard". It was back in 83-84. David loved searching her out, whenever we were in Bakersfield. She really did only have one leg. The left one. David liked her...good enough that the rest of us..we left him alone about it. :hellno::hellno::hellno::hellno: Please do enlighten us with more words of wisdom though.

I will never, nor will i ever need help backing into a spot at a truck stop. I will pull thru when i can (safer than backing isnt it, retard?) and if i have to back, then i'm not going to be a lazy driver and not get out and look if i need to. that is the only reason another driver needs to get 'help' from someone else...cause they are too lazy
Oh, yeah... In several of those cases, that includes getting out and looking. Never be too proud to accept help to stay out of trouble.

kevin, you're too full of yourself. it'll all come crashing down on you. i'm sure you and i will probably cross paths at some terminal somewhere, or maybe we already have and don't know it, and you'll be talking the same know-it-all bullshit i hear many newbies talking inside the driver's lounge. i'll simply be in there to get myself a shower or i'm waiting on the pizza delivery driver to get there with my "food". there have been times where i've tried helping out a fellow swift driver. they look at me and go, "nah, i don't need no help from a kid like you!" a few weeks later, or a couple months after the fact, i see their old truck collecting dust at a terminal, and it turns out the driver got into a mess at a truck stop, or straight up quit. which of those situations will you become? hopefully you become humble and simply learn to have a willingness to learn from the others out there.

Pride goes before a fall. No man is an island. You can a lead a horse to water. yada, yada, yada. You can ony try to help someone so much, they either take the advice offered or don't. People with attitudes like Kevin's eventually hang themselves. They are either humbled, and a little wiser, or end up here.

I can say this even with a spot I'm goaling...Hell you never know if the guy spotting you has a clue. I was backing a slot at the T/A in london,OH new years eve 2006 ,and a driver hops out of his cab after I goaled ,and started spotting me, I never refuse a spot ,but I still goal like I'm alone ...Well the guy was piss drunk ,and this happes often ,as many of the sitting drivers had a few ,so you really never know who's spotting you ,but it does'nt hurt to thank a driver for helping .
