Does any of you drivers out there use a portable toilet in your truck such as this one?
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5723590 How practical is it? Is it a hassle to fill the fresh water tank and empty the holding tank, and where do you do it? At truck stops?

That model is a little large for a truck, IMO. I carry a small Thetford 135 Porta-Potti, you should be able to pick one up for about $75. Mine lives on the passenger side between the seat and the bunk, used for liquid and only in the most extreme emergency any other purpose. I have to empty it once every couple of weeks; the top comes off and you then carry only the bottom portion (holding tank) to a convenient dump -- public toilet, Porta-John, etc.
Carry a gallon of holding tank treatment with you and it will last several months. Used only for liquids, you will use very little flushing water, so the fresh water tank will last for a long, long time on one fill. If you use it as a regular toilet, your mileage will vary. I wouldn't launch without one. However, if you make a mistake on the way to emptying out the holding tank, you can make one horrific mess. Only use the BACK handle to carry it. The front handle opens the unit, and you really don't want that.

However, as always, there is always that .01% that will require special equipment. Ladies and Gentleman, the Syncrosonix portable toilet! :P
