I have to empty it once every couple of weeks; the top comes off and you then carry only the bottom portion (holding tank) to a convenient dump -- public toilet, Porta-John, etc.
Carry a gallon of holding tank treatment with you and it will last several months. Used only for liquids, you will use very little flushing water, so the fresh water tank will last for a long, long time on one fill. If you use it as a regular toilet, your mileage will vary.
I wouldn't launch without one. However, if you make a mistake on the way to emptying out the holding tank, you can make one horrific mess. Only use the BACK handle to carry it. The front handle opens the unit, and you really don't want that.

Yes, I use that exact model-- the 135, it's short enough to push back under the bunk of a 379 Pete. My porta-Potti and my cell phone are the 2 most valuable tools-- that I can't believe I drove without for so many years--
I going to upgrade to a new 155 or larger soon. I think this one's gone a few too many miles. And ordering parts/seals is a real pain.
All Lady truckers should have one-- the whole dark parking lot-security issue & no ladies restroom at many loading docks-- make it a necessity.
But, for me--- not having to get dressed- and freeze your rear end off on those cold winter nights, parked way back in the back of the lot...is enough.
Yes, when I first got one-- I was concerned about the---- smell, etc--- But, was pleasantly suprised to find the liquid tank treatment-- works well.
And since it's only used for emergencies---- or excuses( i.e. setting on shoulder just before rest area(open- weigh station) to hurry and catch up the comic book. I.E. Officer! I just couldn't make it--- I had to go....Just a minute- you yell and wave your roll of toliet paper from behind the closed curtain while frantically catching up the log book)
I only dump mine at the RV clean outs--at rest areas. I wouldn't dream of carrying that than into a public restroom.
