It's time for you to slow your roll Evinrude. You seem to feel the need to bash an industry and OTR drivers with every opportunity you can.

Just being honest...

Rev,

If someone wants to walk the line, they should expect that to be pointed out. We have rules, and I often break them myself, and for that reason, I wouldn't speak out as a moderator, unless I felt it was justified.

I'm sure we all welcome differences of opinion, and the opportunity to debate. I learn a lot, as I'm sure others do. I hope you realize I have to act in the best interests of the board. I'm not going to pretend to be right about my decisions as a mod, but I promise I hope to do this job in a manner that benefits the whole message board, and yet not step on any one individuals rights.

We just went through all this a week ago. There are some things that need to stop.

Isn't that what PM's are for? Is there any justifiable reason to do it in the open? It's not like you have 10 people who are derailing a thread. It's one guy whose postings you are disagreeing with.

Just sayin'.

Rev,
I do use PM's as a moderating tool. I will openly moderate as well. If I am doing that, it is no different than any other member voicing poor form and behavior. Openly, it also lets others know maybe something is being done. (a complaint we mods have been getting enough lately)

I just went through this with Evinrude and others just last week. If someone is going to continue as if business will be as usual, then I do not mind making an open comment. I think people here deserve to see moderators working openly as well as taking care of more serious business in the back room.

I appreciate your point about one member. I may consider that in the future. But regardless, I do not feel I would do anything different, today.

Nobody has mentioned the Steve Booth special. Just poop in your trash can just like a real life hobby trucker.
