The FIRST orange sign means SLOW DOWN!

Imagine that, from survivors, it was due to traffic suddenly slamming on the brakes in that lane.

Anna Eicher had remained conscious throughout, and told her daughter and husband about the crash. It began with the van getting caught in rush-hour traffic as the driver got in the far right lane of eastbound Highway 40, trying to hook up with southbound Interstate 270.
"She was sitting there, and they stopped quick because of the vehicle in front of them had stopped pretty quick," Lydia Eicher said. "Then, all of the sudden, a bang, crash, they went flying and rolled over two or three times. The next thing she knew, she was on the bottom with a lot of people on top of her."

It said in the STL Post Dispatch that the driver inattentive and his father said that he is having a breakdown over the accident. A lady at my mom's work (gas station) said that he was texting. Either way he is supposely facing some criminial charges.

All you wannabe nobodies who couldnt drive a truck in an empty parking lot.
You should always slow down before construction.. if you know its there. But as far as i can see noone knows the causes of those accidents. "Failure to control speed". Ever come around a curve at the speed limit and seen the back of a trailer coming up on you FAST? I have. Ever had a 4wheeler on the side of the interstate -facing you- pull out and force you to lock down narrowly avoiding killing him.. and every truck behind you to do the same? I have. He was an unmarked trooper btw. Ever gone down a curvy mountain road with construction and had it backed up 5 miles past the construction and come face to face with the backend of that trailer? I have A lot of you get off on attacking anything and anyone. I would guess because of your low self esteem , anger issues , and need to demean others in order to justify your own ineptitude. Perhaps when you see truckers die you should mourn the dead rather than displaying your psychological flaws.

Talking about everyone attacking anything and anyone, while HE starts insulting EVERY ONE OF US! Wow....he really must be special. Well, creid, in case nobody ever told you...we are PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS...not your average minivan-driving soccer mom. WE are held to a bit higher of a standard than you average car driver. WE know(or should know) that if you are going so fast around a corner that you cannot stop SAFELY within your own sight distance you are going TOO DAMN FAST. YOU supertruckers are the cause of these kind of accidents. Attacking anyone and anything? Not so much...more like attacking those who are too irresponsible and pigheaded to be safely operating a CMV. I dont' care if you've been driving 3 years or 30 years...that kind of attitude you have KILLS people...
