I'm not a driver yet but my doctor had me on clorazepate,it's a real mild valium for a nervous stomach problem that I have.
I already quit taking it because I don't know how long that stuff stays in your system.I just don't want any problems trying to get a job somewhere and I will also save my prescription bottle to prove I wasn't taking it illegally.
The drug test isn't really your problem. Clorazepate is a class of benzodiazepine and based off past experiences I'd say the odds of a company doctor qualifying you on that type of medication is slim. Also, you mentioned that you quit taking it, but if your doctor didn't actually take you off the medication themself then you stopping the medication on your own doesn't count.

I see. So any Driver who has ever exceeded the posted speed limit (for example) should come forward voluntarily, be ticketed, fined and banned from driving forever.

Usually urine tests are administered. And being that you took a water soluble (pill),it will go undetected after 3-5 days on a urine analysis.

As far as D.O.T. urine tests is the ONLY acceptable test. They do not accept any other test.

Maybe in pre employment situations, but I have known of instances where a blood test was administered in post-accident situations. In fact its a requirement for the FRA which is under the D.O.T

Are you honestly trying to compare a CDL holder using marijuana and driving (a felony) to speeding (a civil violation)????

It is impossible to argue with a drug adict. They will make up reasons to justify using drugs. The drug user does not care that it is against the law. The drug user does not care they put people in danger when they drive. The drug user does not care when they buy drugs they support gangs and cartels that murder people. The drug user does not care that they are destroying their own lives and making their family miserable.

To a drug user, they can justify using drugs by seeing someone drive 44 MPH in a 40 MPH zone and that is somehow the same level of wrong as using drugs. That is how much their brains are fried.

The drug user is looking to justify their own bad behavior.
