Ya know people ask why they saw a certain company pulling another companys trailer and come to find out that they are sister companys, but why in the h&^l did I see a JB HUNT truck pulling a Swift trailer?

we (US XPRESS) pulled a landspan one time. dell computers out of lebanon, tn. dell loaded a landspan trailer but when dell called landspan to let them know the load was ready landspam said they didn't have a truck to pick it up so they call US Xpress to run it. we picked it up 45min later. 1 hr to get all the paper work worked out so we could pull it.
also pulled a central tramsport one time a friend (also US xpress) has puller swift and schneider

What is not commonly known is that there is a cooperative effort for providing freight services among several of the mega carriers. For example if Swift gets a call to do a load and can not then they will check with their "partners" to see who can do it. Sometimes this means the other company will be yanking a trailer with another company's logo on it.
Another reason is that a trailer may have been sold and needs to be moved. The company buying the trailer may contract with a carrier to move it and to save money on the move tell them they can use it to haul freight from the point of trailer pickup to the final destination.

That is because Swift owns everybody. I heard this week that Swift bought Schneider, J.B. Hunt, and TMC. Not all at the same time that would be silly. Swift is a mutinational comglomeration which owns every trucking company out there. Now don't just stand there help me put my tinfoil hat on before they find me.

Yep, I've hauled freight for Werner, their paperwork, their dispatch even their securement straps, just not their trailer. I think the company drew the line there. |
