my dad was around ft. smith arkansas one night and the dispatcher gave him a load for mcdonough ga. it had to be there the next day around noon. he said it would be impossible for him to make it. he finally got there but the dispatcher had to reschedule it because he wasn't going to make it in time.
my dad hates being late says theres nothing he can do about it. my question is WHY SHOULD HE TAKE THE BLAME FOR BEING LATE WHEN THE DISPATCHER IS GIVING HIM LOADS THAT ARE ALMOST PAST DEADLINE AND HE IS A GOOD 600 MILES AWAY FROM WHERE HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE?

YES HE HAS QUALCOMM I run a qualcom equipt truck, some loads do push the evelope sometime whether its close to the HOS limitations or the appt times are so tight there is not "fluff time"(term I use with my dispatch) built into the load. Fluff time=restrooms, showers, fueling, eating, etc, basically driver or truck needs while enroute.
