Well, I have passed the written test to get my class A permit, I just need to get the DOT Physical done. I love to travel and hate being at the same place every day of the year, hence, that is why I was a painter for so many years and owned my own (small) paint business. Construction in my area is just no good. My sister husband and friends all have driven for 20+ years and it has been good for them. so I am taking the plunge!

I finally took the plunge last year. i like it so far. sure, it has its downside. but what job doesnt. hope you dont mind waiting around. that happens alot. get yourself a laptop to play movies, or take a nap.

Yes, I will have a laptop and a verizon card for internet use. I plane to keep in contact with the family through video confrence technology. I thought it would be neat to have a truck cam so the kids can watch and see where I am going when on the road and the bandwith is avaliable. I am a computer geek that loves to tinker and I have many Ideas I would like to try in the OTR environment. Should be one heck of a year. I can not wait to get started.

I just hope I can get in with a company that has the Cascadia Freightliner Truck for newbies.

Thanks for the support. I love this place and spent hours reading last night about all the pros and cons. There are some really great reads. I will spend allot of time here.
