During the summer heat I understand truck tires air pressure will actually go up and overheated tires is a dangerous situation.
Could y'all give me some tips how to prevent blowouts due to heat and do you actually stop and check your tires for overheating.
Just wanted some advice and tips on this,never hear much talk about this.

The main reason tires blow out is from heat due to underinflation or overinflation. If you have your tires aired up to the recommended psi cold, you should have no problems in the summer.

You should check your tires with a calibrated tire gauge at least once a week, if not more when the tires are cold, before you start your day. It only takes five minutes and that five minutes can save you from being stuck on the road for hours with a blow out.

Thumping it with a tire thumper will not give you the proper indication if your tires are correctly inflated. A tire gauge is the only accurate measure of a tire's proper air pressure reading.

Also many drivers do not check their tires for foreign objects in the thread like nails, screws, etc. By not checking that, you tire could have a slow leak which you do not realize until the tire is severly underinflated and blows out.
