Default Should I start applying now?

I actually have 2 questions. Is the written part of the cdl hard? I been studying sice Sept (couple of gaps of not studying) actually I was going to get my cdl permit earlier but I decided to get it closer or during school so I don't forget too much material. School starts Jan 3. I'll probably get it this Saturday. My second question is Should I start qpply for jobs now or when I get my CDL. I mean I know some jobs take like 1 or 2 months to get back to you once you fill out an application. Is CDL jobs like that. And I know there will be recruiters there at my school but I already know what companies I want to work with.

I didn't think the written portion was hard. Anyone above age 10 who has read the study guide / manual and has common sense should be able to pass with no problems. Even the endorsement tests are fairly easy, even the Hazmat test.

If you know what companies you would like to work with, I would suggest calling them directly and talking to them. Tell them you would like to be a part of their company after you get out of your training program, and the approximate date you will have your CDL in hand, and find out when they would let you apply.

Shouldn't be a problem unless you have major learning disabilities. Really major. A couple of guys I went to school with didn't pass the first time. One was a slacker, the other had some learning disabilities. They both passed the second time.

Study it and don't overthink the question.

Apply now. The companies know how this works, and know that it might be a couple of weeks/months before you get to them.

Apply as soon as you actually start school. This way you will have some offers by the time you graduate.

The biggest problem that people have with the written test is not fully reading the question and possible answers.

Take your time and fully read and make sure you understand the question and then choose the best answer to the question.
