Well your employer violated Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules. See section 391.27. In fact the rule requires them to give you a letter or card that says you passed the road test signed by the person that gave you the road test. Along with a copy in your company file. You are to be tested in the same type of equipment you will be driving.

I THINK you mean 391.31..... AND you might want to check 391.11(b)(8.).... and the referenced section 391.33(a) and (a)(2).
Steelhauler didn't give enough info to determine whether he had ever pulled/tested a flatbed, nor whether it might have been within the previous 3 years. :wink:
Of course, you are probably right, and they may well HAVE violated the rules. But, not EVERY company one goes to work for HAS to give you a roadtest.
(which, of course, you didn't SAY..... but implied.)
