I got the red light, no scale just go in and show my permits, got the green on my pre-pass for the next half dozen times, then last week I got the red light, my permits had expired and I'd just received new ones, my guess is that they knew my old ones were expired and wanted to check/register my new ones.

I don't deliver in Wyoming but I travel the 80 on every run, I go through the scale and get the green arrow pointing me to the parking area every time, have to go in and they log my DOT number and ask what I'm hauling... unless you have a pre-pass every truck has to go in (when they are open) and show them your DOT number and regisrtation.

If you have PrePass and get the green, bypass light, you will not have to stop at a Wyoming Port of Entry. If you get the red light or if you do not have PrePass, you will be required to stop. They will weigh your truck and direct you to pull of the scale. You are then required to take your permits into the Port of Entry so they can check them. A green light when you are sitting on the truck scale means you have been weighed. It doesn't mean you can leave the Port of Entry.
says nothing about going in and declaring a load delivering to the state of Wyoming even on green light or am i dumb and totally misread this post??

Its been my experience that they almost always green light me on the scale with a green overhead arrow pointing towards the parking. I go in show permits and they ask what I am hauling. They said it had to do with a tax exemption for oil and gas.
