I've hauled possum belly trailers as well. The rig is not secured in any way. Gravity keeps it against the backstop.
The pictures above show the trailer disconnected. We used to have to bounce the trailer to remove all of the product. Yes, the trailer bounces on the dump.
There are dumps in Canada that are long enough for a set of short doubles. Twin 26' trailers or something. These have a unique kind of door system.
The whole things drives forward onto a dump, then the backstop lifts up and the trucks backs up to stop. The lift goes up. As the doors of the front trailer open, a door at the front of the rear trailer swings
inward and the back door of the second trailer opens normal and all the material dumps out. I kid you not.
