I took some time off ~ 6 months or getting close to it, decided local work just dosnt pay enough.
However I have grown rather fond of being home again. Being on the road didnt bother me that much it was just the 2 or 3 days home before going back that killed me. So I was hopeing maybe I could get a bit of help from here. Im looking for a company that will allow me to work a 14/7 or 21/7 schedual. Id prefer no forced dispatch but will take what I can get. I enjoy the Volvo series of truck but this is by no means a requirment. Any help greatly appreciated.

The only company that I can think of that would offer that in Texas would be schneider. If you think you would like to team and if there is enough drivers in your area for it you might consider CRST van expedited's 20/10, but when I talked to the CRST recuriter he said it is hard to find enough drivers in an area willing to do it.

I spoke with Roehl yesterday. They have a 7on 7 off deal. You slip seat a tractor with 1 other driver. Always the same tractor, 90% drop and hook. They also have a 7/4, 7/3 deal where you slip seat with 2 other drivers, 2 tractors. They look like an honest company and were willing to guarantee the position. They are on the web.

There are several chemical tanker companies that have terminals down in that area.... So if you are interested in being out less, home more often, and get paid better to boot.... you might want to look into it. 8)
