Last reported, unless something changes, the "new" rules as ordered by the courts go into effect Friday, 09/14/07. The new rules will basically be the same except: Only 10 hours of drive time No 34 hour reset.

So you come on duty Monday at 7:00 AM, take your 15 minutes, and then drive your hour. It's now 8:15 AM on Monday. You have to sit there for 36 hours. 8:15 AM Tuesday + 12 hours, so you start again at 8:15 PM on Thursday. But since it's after dark, you have to take another 36 hours, and you can start at 8:15 AM on Saturday. Start your reset by 1:45 pm Weds and you will complete it at 11:45 pm Thursday night. Just in time. :wink:

fmsca website says latest hos rules are from 2005 so I would guess it didnt go into effect yet, but who knows? your company should have been notified if they did take effect. I know mine wasnt
