Whats wrong with reefers?

some of the places a reefer delivers to are hard to back into.

Refers take a little more of paying attention to your load. They tend to smell a little more when empty,so you need to wash trailer out alot. I agree with the comments about waiting for loads and unloading,especially with produce loads.

The newer Thermo King "whispers" are very very very nice!!!! I can hardley tell they are running.....

I would rather sleep next to a reefer than a cattle truck!!!!!!!!!! ops:

yea, but I would follow a bullrack across the scales than a reefer....something about the mess getting on your tires and they not wanting it on the scales :wink:

So are some places that dry boxes and flats and tankers go. Doesn't matter what your pull'n, some places just worn't made for trucks.

I'm guessing that Part Time Dweller has never pulled produce loads out of Salinas area to make a statement like that!!!!!!

No, I always tried to avoid charity work. But I do thank those that do, every time I go to the grocery store. :lol:

Anyone that sits that long needs only to blame the company they work for. They are the ones that allow their equipment to sit all day, usually uncompensated.


The company usually gets compensated for detention. The reality is that some of them just don't pass 100% of it to the one who suffered it,the driver.
