Use an empty bottle. This way all you have to do is throw it IN THE TRASH(NOT ON THE GROUND) in the morning.

Now, how many of you crap in a bucket in your sleeper?

Seriously, there was a thread pertaining to this on another trucking forum, and you would be surprised at how many do, and think it is OK.

Hint; dogs don't even crap where they sleep.

I have in an emergency.

I used to piss in the bunk all the time. I parked at furniture stores, miles away from any rest areas, etc., at times of day when nothing was open if I wanted to go find a proper toilet. Better to piss in a bottle than to piss in the parking lot, I say.

I've only crapped in the bunk in dire emergencies though. It makes the truck reek of :dung: for hours. Not pleasant.

I have a bathroom in mine, so what I do isn't really relevant here, but... in a little bunk, I'd still try to make room for a real port-a-pot. They come very small and don't stink if you use the proper chemicals. Lots of rest areas and most Flying Js have dump sites, so disposal isn't an issue.

PLEASE don't carry the holding tanks inside to flush; I've seen this and it's unsightly, but still better than dumping on the ground... NASTY!

Ever been in a hospital bed for a week or so? Use a urinal? Not so different. Do you have windshield curtains in your truck? If so, you can close them at night, and pee in the passenger area if you're worried about it.

I carry several gatorade bottles, that I could throw away if I wanted to. Truth is.... I usually bring them home, dump them in my own toilet, and wash & disinfect them and take them on the next trip.

When I run solo, I use them all the time. I'M not getting up and walking into the truckstop in my "footie jammies" to take a leak! I don't care if it's warm OR cold! But, I also use them when I TEAM, so I don't have to interrupt the other driver's schedule. If, he stops, and I gotta go, I'll usually go inside. But, if I wake up needing to go, and he's making good miles.... I just do it and go back to sleep!
[Hint: Do it kneeling for stability! He might hit the brakes or swerve at the wrong time!]

Crapping is a whole different story! But, I have no problem staying "regular" on the road. I take care of that when we switch in the morning, or after eating, or anytime I want when I'm driving. I usually KNOW in advance if I need to stop! But.... for those times when the buffet has "done you in," I would keep some form of emergency bucket if I were you.

Worst case scenario, or cheapest last resort.... buy a plastic poncho or small tarp and cut it into 2 ft squares. It can handle the project, and be bundled up and disposed of easily enough.

Hospitals pay people to clean up you and the bed EVERYDAY.
