Default KENWORTH TRUCKS

So I just got hired in at a company that runs '94-'00 KENWORTH tractors. Now I'm not sure which year I'll have until tomorrow, but I know they have the sleeper and are mechanically sound! Question is, coming from only day cabs, what am I getting into here??? Are these good trucks?? Any known problems with em?? Any pics or advise is definitely appreciated.....

Those year Kenworths are all basically the same. A 2000 probably has an integrated sleeper that's easier to get in to where as a 94 might have a removable sleeper that you kinda have to crawl in to. The interiors are all mostly the same layout except maybe it might not have the easy reach dash feature. Outside they will be similar too except for wheelbases and models, W900, T800, T600. You can find lots of pictures on Ebay and truckpaper.com 8) 8)

It depends on what drivetrain components it's made up of, engine, transmission, etc

Default KENWORTH TRUCKS

I think you should be asking why the company is still using trucks more than three years old. BOL

I am new to trucking but will not be driving anything less then 5 years old if you look at the ave milage say 100,000 plus a year those trucks don't seem very safe imo.

Probably because they bought them outright instead of leasing them.

I am not sure why age should be a factor in determining whether a truck is safe or not. There are some older trucks that are probably in better shape than newer trucks.
