I hate to say this, and probably don't have enough experience to know for sure, but to be brutally honest....
You have not prepared yourself properly and sufficiently to enter the world of trucking. Certainly not OTR or common carrier trucking.
You may find work in the local Agricultural industry in Arkansas. But, that's about it. You say you got your CDL 6 months ago, but only have 1.5 months of experience. Was it the LAST 1.5 months? Or was it back in Marchish?
That being said, there are a few "training companies" that might hire you since you HAVE the CDL, but you will probably STILL have to go through their training and "mentoring" process. You just may not have to pay for the testing again.
I might suggest you drive the interstates in your area, and look for signs saying "Drivers Needed - no experience necessary. We'll train you."
I hope your Spanish is current. You will probably be driving a "Field Truck" as opposed to a "Line Truck."
Good luck, if you pursue a career in this manner. But, my BEST advice? Go back to square one, and start over.
No offense intended. Sorry to be so negative. But, the truth will help you more than "smoke."
For any and all others considering this DMV testout route. In this day and age, I believe this option is meant SOLELY for those who might allready HAVE a job for which they just need to get the CDL.
It is NOT a viable alternative for getting into a career in OTR or other "commercial trucking."
