did you pay your own way to a school or did you just test out?? If you paid for a school you should be able to get on just about any training company.

Be sure you learn how to spell before you submit your first application

If you simply tested out and did not attend school then all I can really do is wish you luck because I do not know of any company that will hire you with out going to school.

You only option would be to go through school first to become eligible. Swift, Schnieder, Millis might be willing to hire you and send you through their company sponsored schools in exchange for an employment contract.

If you did go through school then you should be able to get hired on as a trainee at any company that hires newbie drivers assuming the course you went through was a 160 hour course.

Your best bet is to get on the phone and start making phone calls.

I hate to say this, and probably don't have enough experience to know for sure, but to be brutally honest....

You have not prepared yourself properly and sufficiently to enter the world of trucking. Certainly not OTR or common carrier trucking.

You may find work in the local Agricultural industry in Arkansas. But, that's about it. You say you got your CDL 6 months ago, but only have 1.5 months of experience. Was it the LAST 1.5 months? Or was it back in Marchish?

That being said, there are a few "training companies" that might hire you since you HAVE the CDL, but you will probably STILL have to go through their training and "mentoring" process. You just may not have to pay for the testing again.

I might suggest you drive the interstates in your area, and look for signs saying "Drivers Needed - no experience necessary. We'll train you."

I hope your Spanish is current. You will probably be driving a "Field Truck" as opposed to a "Line Truck."

Good luck, if you pursue a career in this manner. But, my BEST advice? Go back to square one, and start over.

No offense intended. Sorry to be so negative. But, the truth will help you more than "smoke."

For any and all others considering this DMV testout route. In this day and age, I believe this option is meant SOLELY for those who might allready HAVE a job for which they just need to get the CDL.

It is NOT a viable alternative for getting into a career in OTR or other "commercial trucking."
