Most everyone still runs on 19.
There are some of the LTL carriers that run on other channels.
Fed Ex runs on 4. Fed Ex Ground runs on 25, and the Brown Clowns (UPS) runs on 22.

Trust me and the others that say: The most important knob on a CB is the On/Off knob. Its best position is "Off". While you might find it "mildly entertaining" at first....it will quickly wear thin, and you will find yourself wanting to kill someone, the radio....or whatever.

I keep mine for only two reasons: To talk to friends I run with, and to talk to security guards etc at shipper's and receivers plants. Other than that, its off and I listen to much more pleasant things on XM Radio...the best thing since the invention of sliced bread!!! Get one...you'll see what we mean

Yes, you are right the entertainment wears off quicly! The XM would be a great investment and much more pleasant for your thoughts! One question on that note is the Sirius about the same as XM or is there a big difference between the two?

I pretty much only use mine when in a terminal and they want you to monitor a certain channel to give you dock numbers etc.....

Sirius and XM are supposed to be merging...but I don't know if it went through.

I talked with Cyanide before I bought mine... I had XM at CFI....they provide the radios in the truck and pay for the XM service for their drivers, but when I left there... I wasn't sure which to go with. Cyanide said he preferred the XM and he had both. I guess the best answer is to look up what each offers in channel lineups. One of them had baseball, the other had football, etc. I guess its really a matter of what meets your own particular wants.... 8)

I have XM. I don't listen to sports, so the music and such is whats important to me.

I heard that Sirius is the only one to offer NASCAR, is that correct? That would be one of the "sports" that I would listen to!

Sirius does have a NASCAR channel (CH 128), but as far as XM having, or not having a NASCAR channel, I'm not sure.
