If you will be staying in a motel provided by the company for orientation don't drink even on off time. Don't miss the van that takes you from the motel to the terminal either, that kinda stuff can get you sent home.

OTR famous quote we are always hiring. Race to the bottom.
Last year I made $57,700 driving OTR. This year as of June 30th I was already at $31,000. Given the fact that I had dissappointing miles for April and May I feel pretty good about it. If I keep my nose clean I should end up near $63,000 with the potential of $65,000. Hardly welfare wages, don't you think?

If you drive for Crete, you rarely wait more than 15min for a dispatch, if that, and as far as sitting at the dock for 4 hrs. 75% of our loads are Drop/Hook. When I do sit at a dock it is rarely for more than 1-2 hrs, and if it goes over(it's happened to me 7-8 times in 10 months) then it's $10/hr and I am always paid for detention. Not allot, but I guess it's more than you're getting paid, eh.

I always knew you were a light weight, stop bringing the company average down.

Sorry about the thread Hi-jack.

Back to what gets you sent home.

Physical results and dishonesty in the application process. If you lie they will find out sooner or later.

Many companies will take your word for what you put on your application and hire based on the information that you have supplied. They will often wait until you actually show up to do a detailed review and background check because they don't want to invest the time and MONEY until they know you are in the door. It simply would not be cost effective to go through this process with every applicant knowing that most of them would never show up. It's easier to send back the drivers that choose to falsify or omit certain facts.

So you are saying after 1-2 hrs of waiting you will start to get paid a 10hrs. Wow you are a rich man. How are you benefits, lets me guess, sick pay none, vacation included, work 6 day a week?.

Instead of dancing around why don't you state your point? That way you give people a chance to respond to something of substance rather than your little potshots that you have been throwing out. Makes me think you are nothing but a troll looking to start a flame war.

You and CFM should start your own forum. Call it something like "LTL drivers are a bunch of condescending assh%les", or some other title that reflects those sentiments.

Cell phone going off too many times in orientation, falling asleep, getting an attitude with the instructor
