Melton is a flat bed company with a familial relationship to CFI.

Melton is not a flatbed division of CFI, but the respective families who own each company are related to each other. (Not sure exactly how, not sure it really matters!)

In any event, if flatbedding is right for you, and you are cut out for flatbedding, I think that you would find Melton to be a cut above most of their competitors.

I've rolled with CFI drivers and Melton Drivers alike, and in terms of professionalism and driver courtesey, I always found them to be exceptional in quality.

They run very nice KW's, maintainence seems to be very high on their list of priorities, and in the time that I've been a member of CAD, I have heard very little negative about CFI or Melton. Those negatives that I have encountered seem to come from people who would be unhappy most everywhwew else they go.

Trucking is an industry where the moaning & complaining never seem to end.

We have a driver here named "Skywalker"; he used to drive for CFI; he could tell you more about Melton than I can, and he won't steer you wrong.

Default thanks

I have seen there trucks around a good bit, they do seem pretty nice. I have done flat beds before it's rough I know but forces you to get out and get some exercise. I have never heard any negitive about them but then again I have not seem any post good or bad about them. there package seems pretty good. I am also concidering TMC if they give me the call but shiney dont get you home. I dont mind being gone but when I get home I do want to be home for a weekend not just 36 hours, thats no real home life.
