First: swift is a godawful company (nothing wrong w the drivers). Go to a company that at least gets you home weekends. There are some out there.

Second: bet you're gonna find out you dont like your codriver nearly as much as you think...

Third: you have a cdl. Does that mean you have experience and school? If not.. yes you will have to go back to school and then a trainer. Insurance my man.

Fourth: Is it worth it? To miss your daughter growing up? For "daddy" to be that guy who shows up once a week or three weeks or a month .. who mom makes her hug? Is it worth it losing your family???

I know that sounds obnoxious. But if you have any experience get on with a gas tanker company or cement or a dump. If you dont.. my friend the moneys not worth it. You'll need at least a year and probably 2 otr to get a good local job.. and theyre hard to find. You really want to miss your babies first two years? Nothing on earth is worth that my friend. And your daughter would agree. Money isnt everything. Good luck either way.
