Why would you get in trouble for a GPS? They aren't illegal.

I have mine mounted on the upper right dash just below my air switches.
I just mostly listen to the audio directions on mine.
It takes no more of a glance then me checking a dash gauge...
where I have it located, if I feel I need to look at it.

They are referring to state statutes regarding blocking your view of the road- obscured windshield.

I just bought another sat. radio and in the direction book it says that "you cant use a suction cup mount on the windshield in CA or MN state law. See CA vehicle code section 26708(a); MN statutes 2005, section 169.71"
My guess is that it would apply to GPS or anything else for that matter.
Hope this helps.
