Default Texas Star Express

Since it doesn't look like very many people pay attention to the "what about this company" section of this board, I am going to post my question here and see if I can get any feed back.

Anyone out there run for Texas Star and would be willing to answer some questions?

Soladad,
My first student (from Roehl) drives for them.
I could try to relay any questions to him for you.
It's been a few months since I last talked with him.
His brother also drives for them.

Default Info

Thanks for offering to contact your former student. Just the basic questions. average miles per week (week 7 or 10 or what), stay basically midwest as shown on their web page, decent loads, dispatch. Since Roehl has been the only carrier I have been with it is all I have to compare Texas too. Any info he is willing to give would be helpful.

STAY AWAY from TSE. I was there for about a year and they have a lot of layovers in Laredo and Mcallen. IF you don't mind sitting all day waiting to load for peanuts and then drive 500 miles all night to deliver then you will fit right in with Texass express. Not to mention they have LOTS of short 250-400 mile runs on their home depot and Lowe's account that doesn;t deliver till after a weekend if you are unfortunate enough to load on a Fri. On a scale of 1-10 I give it a -3 and two fingers up. Last I heard they were losing some of their home depot accounts. Don't waste your time.
