I'm an ex-Swifty, so I can speak to orientation a few years ago (though I'm sure it's not changed at all since then)
Where - all depends. if you go through a school, it's the terminal where the school is at (they have quite a few now). if you've already got your CDL, whatever terminal you apply to will generally do your orientation. If you call the generic 1-800 recruiting number though, they will generally bus you to either Memphis or Phoenix.
What - standard orientation. paperwork. lots of it. finishing up your files, explaining any gaps...Swift has a bad habit of getting you to orientation before having your application finished all the way. Only company I've ever worked for that did it that way. lots of videos that will bore you to death. more paperwork. You'll take a DOT phyiscal / drug screen on site and then onto the Workwell Exam. Workwell is a weight and flexibility test. Don't stress, 99.9999% of people pass it with no problems. You'll just be sore the next day. Twice as much if you want to flatbed. (they have a harder test) Road test is next, along with a backing test. If you don't pass, no stress...they just put you out with a trainer. With no experience you'd go with one anyway.
How Long - Generally about three days...the last day being a short one. Then the wait for a mentor or a truck begins. If you are waiting on a mentor, it is not uncommon for you to be sent home for a while to wait if there is a shortage.
