That was my point in my previous post. Most companies are not going to pay much, if any, over the going labor rate for that area.

I got my CDL old school way old man showed be how to drive. I always drivin local never OTR but when i did want to go OTR i couldnt get a good job for the life of me. I did find 1 company to give me a shot at OTR with no exp. Just keep lookin you will find one.

I drive for Wood Finishers Supply. Monday thru Friday 730 to 430. 22.50 an hour. Awesome career. Hauling paint and stain.

I went local (twice) right out of school. You gotta dig. Oh, I even found it part time. Started at 11.50 per hour. Then found a 13-15 per hour gig. Actually it's based on CPM. CPM changes depending on the haul, whether I D&H or wait for unload.

im in GA. Its one of those jobs that dont come around often. They held the position open till I got hazmat. One of there biggest customers is run by my best friend so thats how I got it.
