SNI has dedicated but not straight out of training. Their feeling is that they want you to get the feel of things first, experiencing different roads, docks, state laws etc for a couple of mos (which is a good idea) before you apply for a dedicated account.
You could get a dedicated account straight out of training but you never know when that dedicated account might dry up and you'll have to go OTR and run system up in the Northeast and have to deal with snow and ice, etc. I'd get OTR experience first, then seek a dedicated account. The experience would only benefit you!

Yes it is possible, but many times the dedicated runs companies open up to new drivers are available for a reason, like the run sucks.

Most carrier's offer dedicated to drivers who have been with them for a while. There may be some who will give you a dedicated right out of training. If there are some carrier's you are interested, I would suggest giving them a call and ask them. I know Werner has some dedicated runs for Dollar General. I don't know if they will allow a new driver to do them.

Another thing to consider. Talk to the manager of the O/O division. I don't know about other companies but at USX there are a lot of O/O with several trucks leased to them and they are looking for drivers too. That is how I got on my dedicated run right out of training.

Yes I did train as a company driver with USX ( I went and got my CDL at a local school and then applied with USX ). Near the end of my finishing training I found that I had a night vision problem. I took myself off the truck with only 20 hrs left to complete my training and testing for an up-grade to first seat. After the problem was corrected ( glasses ) I called and told them I was ready to finish up. A coulpe of days later I got a call ( from who was to become my co-driver ) and he said the girl in the office gave him my name and # when he ask if she knew anyone that might be interested in a didcated run. He was also a certified trainer for USX. Many O/O and those who work for O/O go thru USX's trainer program. There is much more to be told about working for an O/O vs. company and I just got home form a 12 hr shift and have to go back in tonight. I will reply back here again Sunday with some more information when I can get my eyes to stay open.
