i am starting school with schneider national this week and i have a question...i have heard that they give good training but i have never driven a car with a stick shift...is this going to be a problem or will they train me with no problem?...i think i could learn it pretty quick if given the chance.... thank you in advance for any help someone could provide.

I've heard from many sources it's actually better if you've never driven a stick shift. The actuation is so much different, it's better to start with a clean slate.

You'll do just fine.

Freebird, you'll do just fine. Before I stepped in a truck I had never touched a standard in my life. You'll be a professional gear grinder before you know it Good luck with your new career!!

It is better in my opinion that you have never driven a standard before. No bad habbits to fix!
