Totally NEW!!

i am starting school with schneider national this week and i have a question...i have heard that they give good training but i have never driven a car with a stick shift...is this going to be a problem or will they train me with no problem?...i think i could learn it pretty quick if given the chance.... thank you in advance for any help someone could provide. :)

I've heard from many sources it's actually better if you've never driven a stick shift. The actuation is so much different, it's better to start with a clean slate.

You'll do just fine.

Freebird, you'll do just fine. Before I stepped in a truck I had never touched a standard in my life. You'll be a professional gear grinder before you know it :D Good luck with your new career!!

It is better in my opinion that you have never driven a standard before. No bad habbits to fix!

Helps ease my mind too. I also have never really driven a stick.
