A 'pi' could likely not do as good 'record' check done on you as a law enforcement officer could. As the one poster above stated, in most situations your full record is available to law enforcement. I'd really also look into the fact whether or not your state 'does' actually seal/delete records of a juvenile arrest and or conviction, as most do not; and the whole this about 'getting this off your record' are usually urban myths for the majority of the states.

GA is indeed one of those states where any and every thing you do that generates a record will remain in existance forever. There is no such this as a 'sealed' juve record nor an 'expunged' record here. The best you could ever hope for is having something like a first offender status (which is going away soon thankfully) that removes that record from a normal EMPLOYMENT background check. In GA those are the kind of background checks anyone but the government or a law enforcement agency will receive on you. It's also the same check you can do on yourself.

Now me personally, if it was something they'd find out anyway I'd disclose it to be upfront about it. I would also as another person stated read what they want, if it occured out of the time frame the application asks for then no of course don't put it down. If it did occur in that time frame then yes put it down.

You can go to the local police or sheriff's office and pay them to pull a crimminal background check on you. I believe it costs about $7. Some will do it while you wait.

I already answered your question as if it pertained to my state. However:

Before we can help anymore, it'd be helpful to know what state you're in and in what state this occurred in.

In my state it would be run under the purpose code for non-criminal justice related employment.

Funny thing, to...

in that thread you stated your criminal record was clean.

When I was a recruiter in the Marine Corps I got a 100% return of expunged records. Never from a Court house but always from the Sheriffs Dept. So dont ever count on those records disappearing when your 18 even if the Courts expunged them.
