Kingman? No way! Are you allowed to drive a little "off route?" If so, go to exit 9, and take AZ-95 south about 20 miles to Havasu City. Parking is there, but you'll have to search a little. You can cross the London Bridge, and take a ferry over to the CA side to a casino!

Take 5 south from Irvine about 10 miles to San Clemente, CA. Get off on Crristinitos Rd. The Carl's Jr. on the east side of 5 has truck parking for about 6 trucks. You can get your trk and trl in there no problem. Just shut your truck off and don't idle. Your right behind an apartment complex. You will be steps from the beach and tons of sightseeing on that side of San Clemente. That place is a ghost town on the weekends, alot of trucks get off there during the week to garb a bite to eat. The locals use the cristinitos overpass to walk to the beach.

The only time that I parked L A, I was in Irwindale. I got unloaded in Bakersfield, and I got fuel at the J. My next load was at 8 the next morning in Irwindale. I drove that night, and spent the night at Davis Wire(where I got loaded), in Irwindale. At the Flyin J, I talked to a couple of reefer owner operators who were from Ft. Worth.(I finally got to talk to someone out there that was normal :P )They advised me that I should drive down to L.A late at night, instead of leaving in the morning. They said that the traffic in DFW aint nothing compared to southern California. They werent kiddin. Dallas is a walk in the park. :P

Well .. on the corner of S 7th ave and Salt Lake blvd in La Punte is a battery recycling plant. One block east on Salt Lake on the left is an open warehouse with plenty of parking. Drivers waiting hours to unload at the battery recycling plant are often seen there.
It is a place to park in the middle of LA if you need a break waiting for the midnight hour.
