I like Mack Visions in daycabs or sleeper versions for their good ride and tight turning radius.

I just knew you were going to comment on that. But really the Western Star is a nice truck, but the 2003 Mack Ch day cab that we looked at had about as nice a ride as you could get.

Here is my input (In order of most liked to least liked):

Peterbilt 387 (Because it is roomy and easy to drive)
Volvo 780 (Because it is roomy, has a very good field of view, easy to drive )
Volvo 770 (Same as 780, although I hate the nose)
Freightliner FLD 120 (Not as roomy but easy to drive)
Volvo 670 (Easy to drive, but very little space in the sleeper)
Freightliner Columbia (Tight turn radius, easy to drive, good starter truck)
International 9200i (Easy to drive, cramped sleeper)

I currently drive a 780 and love it besides it's issues that it has because of the 457k miles on it.

For me the backing of any of them comes from skill. I seen some driving a small wheel based truck could not hit the dock, and then some in a long wheel base hit it perfect. For me the harder the door to get into the easier it was. If you give me a door with 10 open doors next to it, I could not hit the right one to save my life. But give me one with a Fence in fron of it and trucks next to it, I'll hit it perfectly. Not the trucks or fence, but I'll have it in the door perfect.

In my opinion the best trucks are: 1. Kenworth W900L with 86" sleeper, Cat engine, 13 speed; 2. Volvo 780, rides like a Cadillac, Cummins engine and a 13-speed; 3. A tie between a Freightliner Classic XL and a Kenworth T2000; 4. Peterbilt 379. Whichever one you drive do it safely and legally! 8)
