On the mvr question

This one is the tricky one. Since there is nothing specific on your DMV as to the offence I doubt it will be a problem of any kind.
To clear things up a little look at this.

This ticket occurred over two years ago. Have not had any tickets other than the above mentioned since the late 80's. Does that help out any? Are there any suggestions for OTR companies that will hire me with the above info? Even a company that friends don't let friends work for :-| .

As for the blood pressure issue, you are all correct in saying improve things now. I am working on it. Daily walks, more good foods, of course less bad foods and a huge cut back on the caffeine (like from 6 cups of coffee per day to 1 per day) so far. And a doctors visit will be scheduled soon. Just wondering if an older physical was still valid or is it superseded by a later one. It was more of a curiosity than anything else.

Thanks to everyone for all the info you have provided
Dan

Rcso, according my agent, the insurance company will allow up to 4 moving violations within 3 years. They have been a bit vague as to what combination or type of moving violations they will accept. I would prefer if they would give me their guidelines so I would not waste either their time or mine sending unqualified drivers to them. The one thing I do know that will disqualify them is speeding over 20 mph. From the last driver, even close to 20 will also disqualify them. I don't think I would want a driver working for me who could not control himself enough to get 4 moving violations in 3 years. You CDL is your livelihood. I don't understand why anyone would risk it for a few miles over the speed limit. If a driver plans his trips, there is usually no reason for that much speeding. What many drivers don't realize is that your CDL no longer shields violations received in a 4 wheeler from a commercial vehicle. You can no longer attend traffic school to have it removed. California and Texas were notorious for their traffic schools. From what I gather it was a real profit maker for both states. Since the law changed, they can no longer offer that option if you possess a CDL.

32 oz total over about 3 hours. And I am a sporadic coffee drinker sometimes I'll go for weeks without then be back on the coffee bandwagon for a few weeks. I was gonna say 2 cups but that would be a bit misleading as they were 16oz cups.

Thanks for the info Bluesman. The bp reading at my physical was the highest ever. It is normally around 135/70ish which is close to the limit but never as high as the machine read (209/180)at the Drs. office. When the DR. took a reading himself he got 140/88, obviously it should be better than that.

I am 41yo and currently 277lbs down from 328lbs about a year ago.

I'm switching to decaf on my next trip to the store. No nicotine will be the hardest but that doesn't mean it ain't going to happen. No salt I do well on already, normally buying no salt added/low salt foods and not using the salt shaker. Just started doing daily walks w/ my wife. Even bring the dog, everyone gets their exercise. Tuesday we may even take a drive to Daytona and walk the beach for a couple of hours. I'll check into a bp machine when I go to pick-up the decaf.

Thanks again for the info
Dan

good advice, don't drink caffine or anything other than water for that much 16 hrs before a physical, and try to relax during it.
