Default Sorry

Sorry I have created a fuss. I know what most people think of me and I feel that way too sometimes. I just am trying to find a way to make a living. Thanks for the couple of helpful posts.

Your not only going to have problems finding a trucking job, but any job. Children Sex Offenders are at the very bottom of the slime pit. They have no business in public, little alone driving a truck.

My advice. Go to the middle of a field. Dig a 6 foot hole. Jump in. Pull the dirt back over yourself. Maybe the next life you will come back as a slug. It would be a big improvement.

I know it is easy for people to take shots at you, and I really have to fight back the urges to do the same, but with your record you are basically screwed three ways from Sunday.

I think it will depend on whether it is listed as a felony or misdemeanor. Since it has been 20 years ago, it may not present much of a problem to some companies. Your best bet is to contact some carriers and ask them. There are several recruiters on this forum who could better answer your question, since they deal with this on a daily basis. Sheepdancer, Blue Beetle, and Twilight Flyer are 3 recruiters who are on this board. There are others. You could pm them if you wish.

It's funny that you should mention it was 20 years ago. Children Sex Offenders never, and I do mean NEVER EVER cure themselfs by time. Some states even have laws locking up these people after they do their time because the likelyhood of having a repeat offender is so very high. The only thing that scares me about this line of scum is knowing they are traveling from city to city......

No. No company should hire him. And I would like a list of companies that do.

I made a error on the years. It has only been 10 years. That may or may not make a difference. I agree that he will find it difficult to find work in this profession. I have no sympathy for anyone who harms a child. He never stated that he molested a child. He said pornography. But whether he did or not doesn't make the charge any less severe. The one who took the pictures did do harm to those children. I have never understood why or how anyone could see a child in that way.
