Here is how I have my cb Radio set up. I took these pictures before I put my radio in, but it should help explain anyway. First thing I did I just Wax the spot really well were I placed my antenna on my roof, right in front of the roof rack. I then zipped tied the coax line to the roof rack, (no real reason to, but just to get it out of sight a little bit.)

Then after running the line through the top of the door jam I was able to tuck the coax behind the weather stripping all the way to the bottom of the door jam, and brought it back in behind the passenger seat. I placed my cb radio on the passenger side, mounted on the center console. After running the coax under the passenger seat, making sure it doesn't rub when you move the seat, I just tuck it under the center console and connect it to the radio. Then I just wired my cb radio to use a 12volt accessory plug, So I can move it in and out of my car easily if I need to, and thats it. If I ever find my camera, I'll post some pictures of it.

I have a 52" Wilson 500 magnet mount antenna. I use it with a Radio Shack CB, w/weather channel on it . It works great! I run the cable thru the center of the vehicle, and run it out my hatch on my '03 Focus. The gap is just wide enough for the cable.

I had read that the smaller the plane is, (roof) the higher the antenna has to be.... Too much to know! With new vehicles having so much plastic on them, it's hard to mount cb antennas.

If you need to hide it, pull it off the roof, and stick it in the hatch. The CB is small enough to put in the glove box or under the seat!

I have one in the Jeep. I haven't had one in my car for while, and I think I remember now why I took it out. Doesn't seem like the airwaves are the same. Like this morning coming to work wanted to give the opposite side of the road a traffic update. There was a fender bender between a big truck and four wheeler. (Hope his DAC is untouched. ) Not one person acknowledge my transmission. Not wanting an award but a thanks every now and then would be nice. Maybe me being too sensitive early in the morning....didn't have my second cup of coffee yet.
