Do they dispatch training trucks as teams? Yep.
Do they pay off HHG? Yep.
+100% turnover rate? Yep.
.26 cpm? Nope, no thanks. Not even on a bet or a double-dog dare.

That's proof in the pudding enough for me.

Also I know that regional/local is not where the $$ is.. its in OTR. Not that trucking is mega $$$ but OTR is where the best pay is.
Survey says.....NOPE!!!! Would you like to try for double jeopardy where the scores can really change?

It sounds like this poster is quite content with his decision to work for Swift, yet always someone quick to talk smack. Maybe someone isn't happy at his place of employment and a little jealous of the happy Swift guy? I guess some peoples lives just totally suck to have to always slam someone else. I think they call that insecurity.

Keep on rolling Swifty! You have the right attitude.

Only once you're (the student) comfortable with driving by yourself. If your mentor tries to push you (and some will I got lucky and have a kickass mentor) then FIRE HIM/HER/IT and get a new one. Like I said before its the students job to make sure they get every ounce of what they are supposed to... no one elses. So if you went thru training and didn't ever speak up then you have no room to complain or talk smack about Swift now because you were to much of a coward to ask for what was yours to begin with.

How can one have mor ethan 100% turnover? Also if that was the case then why are they're enough Swift trucks on the road to obviously bug you so not everyone must run away... which means the drivers must like something about the company... especially the ones I've met (and they're maybe what 1-2% of the entire company) that have been with Swift for years.

And as was stated earlier... thats your right to not work for that wage... but assuming you have experience then you should be getting paid more. Swift is a starter company... but again we've covered all of this before.

ColdFrostyMug I'm not sure who peed in your wheaties but if you're havin that many issues then you need to deal with them yourself and not take them out on the world or even other drivers that are happy with their current position/place in life.

I am going to work for Swift starting with training next month right after the Superbowl. Is there still a waiting list for a Mentor? I am ready to get back to work and I am willing to put my time in and do what I have to do to make it work. I don't have any issues with home time so that wont be a problem with me. I see allot of Swift trucks coming through my hometown here in Mississippi. My training is going to be in Tennessee.

Krzysztof I hope we run into each other on the road as well as all the other Swift drivers on here.

I can't wait to get on the road.

Can't figure out how to get my weatherunderground signature to work..any ideas?

Marty

No he just wants everyone to know how good his job is, and has forgotten, everyone needs to start at the bottom and work their way up!
Stick around and you will hear him brag a million more times about it. Remember when most people BRAG, it is really a dream they think is REAL....lol
