Default Alcohol failure first day of school

I see some wannabe's fail their alcohol test the first day of school. What are those guys doing to do that?

Are they drinking in the morning before school or drinking so late that they're not clean by test time?

Yes.

I have also seen many people wash out of orientation at various companies because they could not leave the booze alone.

FYI: To the wannabe's and newbies. It is not uncommon for companies to have people at the motel watching how you comport yourselves and to see if you are drinking and many will fire you if they get a bad report.

Perhaps not so hypothetical as you may think!!

When I started my first day of attendance at our local "Freight Relocation University", we lost two students due to BAC!!

When I reported for my first day of orientation in Indiana, we lost two noobies who decided who were in the same motel room, and decided to celebrate by firing up a nice fat doobie.

Hotel management got wind of it and reported them to the company; needless to say, their first UA test with the company was also their last!!

When I underwent orientation for Werner down in Lancaster, Texas, a few guys in the motel decided to hoist a few brews in their motel room (actually about a case from what I heard) the night before orientation began. They were history the next day.

In the TMC orientation the week after mine there was a vanfull of morons who went and got plastered. Safety got wind of it and were waiting on them to return with the breathalyzer. Everyone got sent home except for the designated driver who blew a 0.00 and told the truth.

I had a carrier tell me a couple of years ago that the number one reason most recruits wash out at orientation is the BAC. I don't understand why any one would tie one on or take drugs, especially when they know in advance they will be tested. :?

I'm glad these guys were taken out and won't be sharing the road with me.

This piss poor judgement is sure to exhibit itself on down the road.
