If they acted that way before they started driving I wonder what they'd be like out there on the road. Drive safe everyone.

The main thing you always have to remember with this job, you never know when they're going to call you up for a random.

I just started with this company. I went for my pre-employment screen on a Tuesday. On Thursday I had to do a ride-along with another driver (that's their orientation). The following Monday I went to the terminal to get my truck, an empty trailer and the paperwork for my 1st load with them. When I went in to get the paperwork after fueling up the truck, I was handed the paperwork for my random drug/alcohol test.

Now, mind you, it's been 6 (SIX) days since I had my pre-employment. So, off I go to the same clinic. The same woman gave me the test. Of course, I knew I had nothing to worry about.

You just never know when...

Get this, when I was at the police academy, a group of recruits went out for a drink one night. Well, apparently a few guys stayed a bit too late, and had more than one, much more. Skip to the next morning at about 9am, the first thing on the schedule for the day is breathalizer training. Well guess who steps up and volunteers to blow on the thing, yeah, one of the super-smart guys who was out late drinking. Staying out drinking=$25.00; Cab ride back to the academy=$7.50; Standing up at 9am the next day in front of 35 other recruits and blowing a 0.02% blood alcohol level and instantly loosing your job=Priceless. What a moron.

I can tell you that with pee tests on average 2% of drivers fail the pre-hire. Whats even more scary is once we went to a pre-employment pee and hair test.... about 14% fail it.

On a lighter note, I once had a driver kicked out of orientation for opening up a beer during orientation and drinking it. The funny thing was that after he got sent home, he called me up and cussed me out because i as a recruiter didnt do my job and tell him that there is no drinking beer in orientation.

Thank you for helping lift up our reputation out here.

Nothing like broad generalizations and untruths to damage an already shaky reputation we hard working individuals have.

On an even lighter note than that, a few years back we had a guy in orientation that was drinking recycled water. Think about that for a moment.

It stunk so bad that it was making other attendees and the instructor sick. If that don't give you the willies, nothing will. Talking about it is enough to get the dry heaves again.

When one countries flag is hung on the same mast as another flag, it usually means that the country on the top has invaded and conquered the country below.

OK, that is the bad news.

Now the good news.

Now that I am an American POW, I want my orange jumpsuit and an all expense paid trip to an Island in the Caribbean......

(just in case you where wondering Mapleleaf, flags of nations are suppose to be flown on different masts at the same height and the flags are suppose to be of the same size)
