There are a lot of things out of the drivers control, as many here tell the newbies when they ask about the life of a driver! If you listen to the driver on the video, most of the problem is on the home front. Not every driver can have a job like the rest of normal America, if they did this would be a very different business. I don't care what part of trucking you are in, its not the same as normal America!! As far as being a bitter old man, like he said he had a 14 year old son, so maybe he is late 30s or early 40s at the most. and if that's old you haven't been in the business long. I think he gave a honest view of the of what goes on in this business.
